Astronomy observations, February 1998–2016.
Dr. John Payzant (1946-1919) was a professional research chemist, and a dedicated visual observer, amateur telescope maker, and member of the Edmonton Centre of the RASC. Taking the enjoyment of his avocations seriously, he reasoned that he ought to gain the experience of crafting the means to see astronomically, and the product of that experience was two fine dobsonian reflectors, the largest of which had a 16-inch primarfy mirror. Thanks to the generosity of Gina Payzant, it is now possible to observe vicariously with John thorugh turning the pages of his logbook.
