Asteroid (11675) Billboyle

[Willard Sterling] Boyle (b. 1924-08-19 in Amherst, NS, d.2011-05-07 in Truro, NS) co-invented the CCD while at Bell Laboratories in 1969. This device has revolutionized both amateur and professional astronomy. Dr. Boyle was co-awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize in Physics. This minor planet was automatically detected by a CCD during an amateur survey.
