Asteroid (107638) Wendyfreedman

Wendy Freedman (b. 1957) is director of the Carnegie Institution's observatories. The Hubble Key Project (led by Dr. Freedman) used the Hubble Space Telescope to establish the most precise optical determination of Z, the expansion rate of the universe in May 2001 of 72 ± 8 km/s/Mpc. She is currently in charge of the Giant Magellan Telescope project. Dr. Freedman was the honorary president of the RASC Toronto Centre between 2005 and 2007.
