Asteroid (10271) Dymond

Garrett (Garry) Dymond (b.1956) is an amateur astronomer with RASC St. John's Centre in
Newfoundland. Garry served many years as St. John's Centre President, Vice President and Co-Editor of the club's Newsletter. He won an RASC Service Award in 1994. He earned a Bachelor of Environmental
Studies degree from the University of Waterloo, served on Canada's Meteorite and Impacts
Advisory Committee and worked as an educator at the Johnson Geo Centre in St. John's. He has earned RASC Observing Certificates, participates in citizen science by submitting Jupiter Observations and is and eclipse chaser.
