Rolland Noël de Tilly (born 1906; died 1983-05-18) was a leader in the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Centre de Montréal, for many years and was recognized with an RASC Service Award in 1979. As a supervisor for Canadian Pacific Railways, he was able to get free passes to travel to Toronto for meetings of National Council. On his normal Montreal-Quebec run, he used to give astronomy "lessons" to employees and passengers.

He wrote for Les Cercles de Jeunes Naturalistes under the penname "l'Ami des Etoiles." From the Société d'Astronomie de Montréal, he received the Prix Georgette Le Moyne in 1972 and l'Etoille d'Argent in 1980. The Astronomical Society of France presented him with the Medaille Camille Flammarion.
